How to Find God at Rock Bottom

May 8
6 min read

There's a version of rock bottom nobody talks about.

It doesn't look like the dramatic collapse. It doesn't look like losing everything all at once. Sometimes it looks like being thirty years old, needing help paying your bills, watching a business you built from everything you had — and the right people just haven't found it yet. It looks like months of not knowing. And underneath the circumstance, a quiet, devastating realization: you thought you had it figured out.

That's the part that breaks you. Not the bills. The gap between who you thought you were and what you actually needed.

I was in that gap. And what I know now, after moving through it, after doing the actual work, is that my spirit team was already moving.

They had already placed the resources. The people were already in position. The answers were already in motion.

I just allowing myself to receive them yet.

What Rock Bottom Is Actually For

The first thing rock bottom does is take away your ability to perform. You can't maintain the facade when the floor is actually gone.

The things you were holding together with pride and strategy and sheer determination, they start to show themselves for what they always were.

Agreements. Patterns. Beliefs you inherited so early you mistook them for personality.

One of mine was this: I have to earn what I receive before I deserve it.

On the surface that sounds like discipline. It lived in me as a block. Every prayer I sent upward had a silent condition attached,

"God, I'll receive your provision after I've done enough to justify it."

And so the resources that were genuinely available to me, the support that was already in place, the people who were already assigned to walk with me — I kept them at arm's length. Not consciously. My nervous system was doing it automatically, the way it had always done.

Rock bottom stripped that away.

This is the teaching Module 1 in Embodied Union. Our program begins not in healing, but in clearing. You cannot hear your spirit team if your field is still cluttered with the belief that you have to go it alone. You cannot receive what's being sent if every channel of reception is blocked by the story that receiving means you failed. The anchor work — the root chakra, the environment clearing, the first meeting with your angels — it's not preparation for the real work.

It is the real work. Because a tree that cannot take root cannot grow. And you cannot build upward in an uncleared field.

Your spirit team was there before you hit bottom. Rock bottom is just the moment you finally stopped moving fast enough to miss them.

The Cord That Was Intercepting Your Answered Prayers

There was a specific moment that changed how I understood all of this.

I was sitting in my car asking my angels for help with gas. Not metaphorical gas. Actual gas. I was praying for provision, asking my spirit team to come through, genuinely waiting for something to shift. And my phone rang.

It was my dad. Calling from a gas station. Asking what was up.

Sit with that.

That is not coincidence. That is your spirit team operating inside your physical reality. The divine does not exclusively arrive in visions and downloads and unmistakable signs

. It moves through people. Through timing. Through a phone call at the exact moment you needed it, from a person who was standing somewhere they had no logical reason to be.

I almost rationalized it away. Just my dad. Just timing. Just coincidence.

But that rationalization would have been a lie I told myself because I had a cord running that I hadn't named yet.

A cord to the belief that I had to solve things alone first. That asking for help was the same as failing.

I had told myself last year I would never ask my parents for financial help again.

That provision had to cost me something before it counted. That the answer needed to arrive in a form that required nothing from me except receipt — not in a form that asked me to be humble enough to actually need someone. a blaring sign from the universe that this was the answer to my prayers, and I needed to swallow my pride to accept it.

That cord was intercepting answered prayers. Probably for years.

This is The Clearing work — Module 2, weeks five through eight. The cord is not always attached to a person. Sometimes it's attached to a pattern. A nervous system agreement so old and so embedded that it feels like who you are rather than something you're running.

And that cord will intercept every answer to every prayer, every provision your spirit team sends, every resource that arrives in human form — until it's cut.

Cord cutting is not rejection. It is reclamation. When Archangel Michael raises his sword, he is not cutting the person or the relationship. He is cutting the agreement. The agreement that says you have to suffer first. That you have to earn it. That receiving without working for it is weakness.

Your spirit team is already responding to you. The cord is what makes their answer invisible.

We spend a lot of time waiting for divine provision to look like a miracle.

We want the unmistakable sign. The lightning bolt. The vision that leaves no room for doubt. And while we wait for the impossible-to-miss version, the actual answer is standing in the room with us. Calling from a gas station (becoming the unmistakable sign). Showing up in the most ordinary form available.

This is what Christ Consciousness actually is. Not a doctrine. Not a religion. A frequency. And that frequency moves through people. Through lineage. Through the ones who stayed when they didn't have to.

When my season got hard, I didn't receive a mystical revelation. I received a person who had been showing up my entire life. Who was carrying something specific in his presence — teaching me, through every act of care, that I was worthy of being held. Not because I had it together. Because I was.

That is ancestral work. That is the Sophia Current operating through a family line.

This is Module 3 — We receive Third eye, crown chakra, ancestral healing. The people around you are not incidentally in your life. They are part of your spirit team's infrastructure. The friend who texted at the exact moment you needed it. The teacher whose words landed at the right year. The parent who wouldn't let you do life alone even when you were doing everything you could to insist on it.

Your spirit team does not only work in the spiritual realm. They work here, in this reality, through the people who carry the right frequency at the right moment.

If you are waiting for the divine to show up in a way that's impossible to miss — look at who is already there. Look at what you've been receiving and calling coincidence.

Look at what your team has been trying to hand you that your pride keeps handing back.

Gratitude used to feel like something I had to perform.

After moving through this, it feels like proof that something integrated.

Because here is what I know now: I was never without resources. I was never without people. I was never without wisdom worth sharing.

I had been the one standing in my own way, not because there was something wrong with me, but because I hadn't learned yet how to receive what was already mine. The pride, the self-sufficiency, the belief that needing anything was a sign that I was failing.

those weren't character flaws. They were agreements. And agreements can be released.

Module 4, weeks eleven and twelve is the understanding that you were never not in process. The season that felt like falling apart was the season your field was being cleared. The months of not knowing were the months your spirit team was repositioning things you couldn't see yet. The moment you finally asked for help,

the moment you put down the pride and picked up the phone — was not failure. It was the portal.

Rock bottom teaches you who was there all along. What was available all along. What your spirit team had been trying to hand you before you were ready to take it.

The Lotus blooms because of the mud. Not in spite of it.

Integration is not forgetting what the hard season cost. It's understanding what it was for. The anchor, the cord cutting, the receiving, the integration — that is the full cycle. And once you know it, you can ride it for the rest of your life. Every season of contraction becomes a clearing. Every moment you feel the floor disappear becomes a signal that something is being repositioned on your behalf.

Your spirit team has never stopped working. The question has always been whether you were built to receive them.

This is the work. The continuous arc toward the version of you that finally says yes.

If this is landing and you want to move through it with support, Embodied Union is where this work happens in full — twelve weeks, all four modules, your spirit team as active participants the entire way. https://www.yogazenbyjen.com/coming-soon-03-1

And if you want to come in and feel the work before committing, a private session is where that begins. You can book at https://www.yogazenbyjen.com/book-online
